Manufacturing Day

Open your doors, rally your manufacturers, engage your community and inspire the next generation of makers and innovators!

Each October, join forces with Dream it. Do it. Missouri to celebrate the amazing contributions that manufacturers make to the state. MFG Day was developed in 2012 by the National Association of Manufacturers’ Manufacturing Institute as a way to open the doors of manufacturers around the country and invite students to learn more about the amazing career potential that exists across the manufacturing industry.

In 2019, Missouri manufacturers turned out in force, helping to push a 51% increase in K-12 student attendance at MFG Day activities compared to the previous year—more than 10,600 students in total.

More stats for MFG Day 2019:

· Over 92 registered events took place during the month of October

· 331 Missouri manufacturers hosted tours and took part in community events

· 84% of attendees on MFG Day were K-12 students

· 613 educators attended events and also experienced today’s manufacturing

We need your help to push these numbers higher and inspire the next generation to pursue exciting career pathways in manufacturing.

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry is helping local communities showcase their manufacturing might this October.  Here are some resources to help start you on the path to success with MFG Day as you coordinate MFG Day activities at your plant or in your community.
