About the Role

In this role, you will be the front-facing sales professional for Missouri’s leading business advocacy organization, helping companies understand how the Missouri Chamber’s influence, programs and resources accelerate their success. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building connections, telling a compelling story and making a measurable difference.

What You Will Do

  • Cultivate and Grow Investor Engagement
    • Proactively identify and pursue new business investors using research tools, referrals and strategic outreach.
    • Build trusted relationships with executives, decision-makers and business leaders across Missouri.
    • Serve as a consultative partner, listening to business needs and matching them with high-impact Missouri Chamber benefits.
  • Champion Missouri Chamber Value
    • Communicate the Missouri Chamber’s powerful advocacy work, statewide influence and portfolio of programs with confidence and clarity.
    • Develop and deliver polished, persuasive sales presentations to businesses of all sizes, from small businesses to large employers statewide.
    • Help sales prospects understand how becoming an investor enhances their voice, visibility and competitiveness.
  • Drive Results & Support Growth
    • Own the sales pipeline from start to finish, consistently meeting or exceeding investor growth goals.
    • Track activity and progress using the Missouri Chamber’s CRM to ensure a smooth, organized experience for every prospect.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure new investors feel welcomed, informed and connected from day one.
  • Represent the Missouri Chamber Across Missouri
    • Attend Missouri Chamber events, regional meetings, industry gatherings and business functions to expand your network and generate new leads.
    • Stay informed on Missouri’s policy issues, business trends and industry needs to better serve current and prospective investors.

What We Are Looking For

  • A natural relationship-builder with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven success in sales, business development or membership recruitment
  • A polished presenter with strong negotiation and closing abilities
  • A self-starter who thrives in a goal-driven environment
  • Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and research tools such as ZoomInfo
  • Understanding of Missouri’s business landscape (or enthusiasm to learn quickly)

Candidates with prior experience or knowledge of state politics – either campaign management, fundraising or lobbying – will be considered.

A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, political science or a related field is preferred, but strong experience and performance-driven mindset matter most.
