On April 24, a Missouri House committee took up a Senate bill containing important regulatory updates.
In recent years, the Missouri Chamber has successfully advocated for a number of bills aimed at ensuring Missourians can continue to benefit from reliable and affordable utility services.
Building on this progress, Senate Bill 756 includes a number of important provisions that would help spur investment to modernize utility infrastructure and ensure energy remains affordable, reliable and resilient.
The legislation, which passed the Senate by 23-5, is sponsored by Sen. Bill White (R-Joplin). The Missouri Chamber voiced the business community’s support for the bill.
