A longtime member of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced a change in leadership. Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., which has had a significant presence in Missouri since 1963, has a new CEO. CMT has long been an active member of the Missouri Chamber community, with the firm’s engagement including previous CEO Dan Meckes’s service as a member of the Missouri Chamber’s Board of Directors.

CMT announced William (Bill) Bailey would become the sixth CEO of the engineering and consulting firm. Meckes will continue as the firm’s board chair and serve in a national officer role with the professional trade organization ACEC.

“Bill is technically very strong, and he’s skilled in the business side of our work,” Meckes said. “Most importantly, though, he understands and embraces the people side of our business. On behalf of the organization, I’m thrilled to congratulate Bill on this new role. We all look forward to the impact his continued leadership will have on the future of CMT.”

“I’m very humbled, excited and proud to move into the role of CEO,” Bailey said. “It’s an honor to be charged with furthering the firm’s 76-year legacy, and I look forward to continuing to collaborate with the team on our vital work of delivering value to our clients, providing superior infrastructure solutions, creating growth and opportunity for CMT’s people, and moving forward together.”
