Missouri’s business leaders meet in Jefferson City to explore state and local government
WHAT: For more than 25 years Leadership Missouri has identified current and emerging business and government leaders throughout Missouri with a mission to enhance leadership skills, and deepen participants’ knowledge of the economic challenges and opportunities facing the state. This class will meet seven times through this year in seven different communities to explore issues that affect Missouri businesses. The goal is to prepare participants to take an active role in advancing the state for the common good. Their first meeting will take place in Jefferson City, the seat of Missouri government.
WHO: Missouri business and government leaders from throughout the state, who were nominated by their employers to participate in the 2016 Leadership Missouri Class.
WHEN: Tuesday, April 12 through Friday, April 15.
WHERE: Jefferson City, Mo.
WHY: As the hub of state government, Jefferson City gives participants an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the Missouri House of Representatives and Senate, as well as tour local military and correctional institutions.
