The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry is pleased to announce that Carol Mitchell has joined its Governmental Affairs team as General Counsel. Mitchell specializes in public safety, legal climate reform and labor issues, among others.
An attorney and government affairs professional with experience in both the legal and political arenas, Mitchell most recently served as Director of Compliance for CLEAR Market Practices, LLC, where she was responsible for reporting new insurance and financial legislation and regulations in 35 states. Mitchell is experienced in policy development, regulatory affairs, strategic planning, and compliance in highly regulated industries with high profile issues.
Previously, Mitchell served as Director of Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations for Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc., where she directed state and local government relations in the states where the company was licensed to conduct business. She has also worked as a political fundraising consultant for Survey Missouri, LLC, customizing specific campaign events for Missouri legislators and legislative candidates.
Mitchell received her JD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and her BS in political science from Southeast Missouri State University.
