The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has strengthened its team with the hiring of Amy McMillian as director of Missouri Chamber Advantage.
In her new role, McMillian will lead the Missouri Chamber’s affinity program platform that connects Missouri employers with valuable business resources and benefit solutions.
McMillian will oversee the Chamber Benefit Plan, a growing multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA) that helps small and mid-sized businesses access affordable, quality health coverage. She will lead efforts to expand participation in the plan, strengthen relationships with insurance brokers and local chambers of commerce, and oversee additional affinity programs that deliver value to Missouri employers.

McMillian brings 24 years of experience with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, where she held roles in customer service, medical management, provider relations and account management. Most recently, she served as a union account coordinator, managing more than 100 client accounts and working closely with employers, insurance brokers, health care providers and union representatives.
“I’m looking forward to applying my years of health care and client service experience to the Missouri Chamber – making a positive impact, building meaningful relationships and contributing to the success of both the organization and the people it serves,” McMillian said.
McMillian lives in St. Joseph, Mo., where she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and cooking.
