A statewide event intended to help Missouri confront a critical shortage of health care professionals received an enthusiastic response.
The virtual Health Care Career Day event was hosted by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Feb. 25, attracting nearly 6,100 students.
This free program used virtual tours and live Q&A sessions to take students inside Missouri’s cutting-edge health care organizations and educational institutions.
Featured organizations included St. Luke’s Health System, BJC Healthcare, Cox Health, Boone Health, Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, Mosaic Life Care, MU Health Care and St. Francis Healthcare System.
While developed for Missouri students, the unique event ended up taking on a national flavor as people from across 13 states registered to attend.
