The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry congratulates Jesse Hill on his retirement after 30 years of dedicated service to Edward Jones and Missouri’s business community. Hill served as general partner, policy, regulatory and government relations, at the firm.
Hill joined Edward Jones in 1996 and transitioned to the firm’s regulatory relations team in 1999. He became a trusted leader on complex regulatory, tax and retirement policy issues, and by 2013, Hill was leading the firm’s regulatory team.
Throughout his career, Hill contributed to major policy initiatives designed to expand savings and investment opportunities for individuals and families. His work included advocacy and regulatory engagement related to the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001, which increased contribution limits for individual retirement accounts and established catch-up contributions for older savers. He was also engaged in policy work surrounding the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003, including provisions related to capital gains.
More recently, Hill supported the SECURE Act and SECURE 2.0 Act, landmark federal initiatives that expanded retirement savings opportunities and encouraged more Americans to prepare for their financial futures. His work also included supporting Missouri’s 529 education savings program and strengthening coordination among state regulatory leaders.
Hill’s impact extends well beyond Edward Jones. As a member of the Missouri Chamber Board of Directors, he provided thoughtful guidance, practical expertise and a strong commitment to advancing Missouri’s business climate. Hill also helped establish the new Missouri Chamber Foundation Board of Directors.
