Amendment 1 revisions will be on November ballot

Posted on

Missouri lawmakers have approved legislation that will give voters an opportunity to revise the redistricting and ethics reforms of Amendment 1 (dubbed “Clean Missouri” by supporters), which voters passed in November 2018.

Senate Joint Resolution 38, sponsored by Sen. Dan Hegeman, a Republican from Cosby, puts the issue on the November 2020 ballot.

If approved by voters, the resolution would modify the system Missouri uses to draw our state’s district boundaries.

Missouri’s districts are redrawn after the completion of the U.S. census every 10 years. The 2020 Census is currently underway.
