Missouri Chamber welcomes new staff
The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomes Kara Corches and Ross Lien to the organization’s governmental affairs team. As Directors of Legislative Affairs, Corches and Lien join Vice President of Governmental Affairs Matt Panik in leading the Missouri Chamber’s efforts to protect and advance Missouri business by advocating for pro-business legislation and policy in the State Capitol.
Most recently, Corches worked as a legislative advocate for the California Optometric Association in Sacramento. Her past work experience includes coalition building, policy analysis and advocacy strategy for a variety of organizations in California and Washington, D.C. She holds a B.A. in speech communication from Baylor University and a master’s degree in public policy and administration from California State University-Sacramento.
Lien is an experienced political operative and military veteran with experience in grassroots, digital media, legislative and political operations. He has worked on and won political campaigns in multiple states across the country. Lien also previously worked in the Missouri governor’s office on legislative affairs. Lien graduated with a B.A. in economics from the University of North Dakota.
