Another class began last week Jefferson City kicking off at the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry headquarters.

From April to October of each year, a group of approximately 30 class members meets to learn about topics like government, education, health care, agriculture, military defense and many more topics.

Traditionally the government segment is held in April in Jefferson City where participants learn about state government.

Alumni were invited to welcome the newest group with a reception at the Millbottom after a day touring the House and Senate and meeting with the attorney general’s office and time at the Supreme Court.

The final day of the segment was held at the Highway Patrol training center where participants were educated on SWAT procedures, emergency vehicle training on the high speed track, and were met by the K9 officer and his troop dog.

In May the group will travel to West Plains and learn about agriculture.  For more information about Leadership Missouri, please contact Brian Crouse, vice president of education programs for the Missouri Chamber, at bcrouse@mochamber.com or by phone at 573.634.3511.
