The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven professional to serve as Director of Missouri Chamber Advantage, the Missouri Chamber’s affinity program platform supporting employer benefit solutions across the state.
This leadership role oversees the Missouri Chamber Benefit Plan, a growing multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA), along with additional affinity programs designed to deliver value to Missouri employers and local chambers.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in insurance brokerage, employee benefits administration or health plan program management, along with a passion for expanding access to high-quality benefit solutions for businesses statewide.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Plan Administrator for the Missouri Chamber Benefit Plan.
- Ensure the Missouri Chamber Benefit Plan operates in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Maintain documentation, procedures and operational processes that support program integrity, compliance and transparency.
- Oversee program administration, including employer participation tracking, membership verification and responses to program inquiries.
- Manage relationships with all vendors contracted to administer the Missouri Chamber Benefit Plan.
- Support and coordinate the activities of the Missouri Chamber Benefit Plan Trust Board of Directors.
- Oversee the operations of all Missouri Chamber Advantage affinity programs to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Manage contracts and authorize transactions related to all affinity programs.
- Lead statewide outreach to insurance brokers and benefits professionals to expand participation in the Missouri Chamber Benefit Plan.
- Develop and implement recognition programs for top-performing brokers.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for participating brokers and employers, while collaborating with Missouri Chamber staff to strengthen relationships with local chamber federation members.
- Develop and execute marketing and growth strategies to increase employer participation in Missouri Chamber Advantage programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and local chambers to promote program awareness and participation.
- Support events, meetings and outreach initiatives related to affinity programs and broker engagement.
Candidates may have experience as a:
- Health insurance brokerage account manager
- Health insurance program administrator
- Nonprofit affinity program manager
- Insurance carrier account manager
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Strong relationship-building skills with insurance brokers and employer clients.
- Knowledge of employee benefits programs, health insurance, carrier operations and applicable regulatory requirements.
- The ability to manage complex programs involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking paired with strong operational and project management skills.
