Spainhower joins Missouri Chamber as director of investor relations

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has strengthened its investor relations and business services team with the hiring of Theckla Spainhower.

Beginning today, Spainhower will serve as director of investor relations, helping employers understand how the Missouri Chamber’s influence, programs and resources can accelerate their success. She’ll work to build relationships with business leaders across the state and grow the Missouri Chamber’s member network of employers and investors.

“We are excited to welcome Theckla to the Missouri Chamber team,” said Missouri Chamber President and CEO Kara Corches. “Her extensive experience and energy will make a real impact for Missouri employers. Theckla will have an important role to continue to build our momentum by connecting employers with the resources they need to succeed to make Missouri a top state for business.”

Spainhower comes to the Missouri Chamber after serving as director of government relations at PayIt, a government technology company based in Kansas City. There she was instrumental in building relationships with elected officials nationwide, shaping legislative strategy and driving policy efforts that supported revenue growth and company expansion.

Spainhower previously served as chief of staff for Congressman Bob Onder during his time as a state senator.

“The Missouri Chamber has a strong reputation as Missouri’s largest and most stanch business advocacy group, and I’m honored to join this team,” Spainhower said. “Over the course of my career, I’ve worked to bridge policy and business, and I can’t think of a better place to put that experience to work as the Show-Me state continues to grow as a premier destination.”

Spainhower is a lifelong Missourian with roots in Jefferson City. She now lives in Kansas City with her husband and their two dogs.
