Hepola joins Missouri Chamber as director of government affairs

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has bolstered its government affairs team with the hiring of Chance Hepola.

Beginning February 9, 2026, Hepola will serve as director of government affairs, advocating for Missouri employers on legislative, regulatory and judicial issues.

He most recently served as the government and community relations manager at CoxHealth in Springfield, where he led legislative advocacy efforts at the local, state and federal levels while also overseeing community engagement initiatives for the health system.

Prior to CoxHealth, Hepola worked in the Missouri State Senate for Sen. Curtis Trent. His background also includes experience working on a congressional campaign, as well as time spent in Washington, D.C., on Capitol Hill and at the Republican National Committee.

“We are excited to welcome Chance to the Missouri Chamber as the 2026 legislative session gets underway,” said Missouri Chamber President and CEO Kara Corches. “He brings valuable experience and a strong understanding of the legislative process that will help ensure Missouri employers’ voices are heard.”

Hepola earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Evangel University and a master’s degree in defense and strategic studies from Missouri State University.
