How are you addressing the talent pipeline for manufacturing in your community?
Talent attraction is the biggest issue faced by today’s employers.
To help address this concern, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry became the state affiliate of the Manufacturing Institute at the National Association of Manufacturers Dream it. Do it. program.
To help meet the demand for Dream it. Do it. across the state, the Missouri Chamber developed a hub model to meet regional workforce needs.
Regional hubs help engage, empower and coordinate local manufacturers as they seek to address workforce issues. Regional hubs can be led by organizations such as a local chamber of commerce, local economic development organization, a formal manufacturing alliance or even just a dedicated group of manufacturers.
Regional hubs serve as a connector and conveyor of events, activities and communications under the statewide Dream it. Do it. effort and are linked to national resources.
Regional hubs receive direct technical support, branded materials, best practice program activities and a network connection to other regional hubs throughout the state. The activities that regional hubs have been most engaged with are, but not limited to:
- MFG Day and open door event support
- Show-Me Manufacturing: What’s So Cool about Manufacturing? Video Competition
- Show-Me Careers in Manufacturing Guidance Counselor Workshops
- Ambassador Program training and support
- And much more!
