Missouri Executive Order issued in response to coronavirus
A new executive order in Missouri authorizes executive agencies to waive or suspend certain regulations and statutes that could interfere with the current coronavirus epidemic.
We don’t have the full list of specific regulations/statutes that are being abated via EO 20-04, but the individual agencies are expected to release that shortly. As of now we know the order will accomplish three main goals:
- Enable doctors to diagnose and treat patients more easily through telemedicine, allowing them to avoid physical contact.
- Extending the hours commercial drivers are allowed to operate on Missouri roadways in order to deliver essential medical supplies and equipment
- Removes barriers to entering education profession in order to mitigate teacher shortages.
